Carbatec Perth

I have been to every Carbatec in Australia, except Sydney. This, in my opinion, is the best set out store by far. Every section was visible from the front door. There was room to move around and everything was accessible. I told a staff member that they had way more products than the other store. This wasn't correct, I could just see them better.The staff were super helpful. A shout out to Erin in particular. Her friendly attitude and product knowledge made the buying decision even easier.My only criticism is they need a poster on the way out with a list of reasons I can use when I get home as to why I bought so much.

I can understand that there are staff shortages currently. But there’s absolutely no excuses for the terrible customer service that I received today at the store.I came back today to exchange some products. After selecting my products, I was served by one of the staff members there. He helped do the exchange and charged me the difference. After I had paid the difference I questioned why it was so much as I wasn’t getting that many extra items. To which the staff member replied back go home check it and then go back. My response was so you want me to go home to check it? Why can’t I just check it here. He finally handed the receipt over to me in which I noticed that I was over charged for an item. I then told him that should only be x amount to which he misheard and thought I mentioned the exact amount I was overcharged. He quickly got the change from the till before even checking, even though I had paid on my debit card and he wanted to give me cash back. This lead me to question if I was over charged for my other products. It just seemed like he wanted to get me out of the store as quick as possible rather than offer his help to find out where I was over charged and then exact amount. I had to excuse myself to go and check the prices myself with him persistent to just give me the change from the till. To which I found I was over charged for multiple items not just 1. There was no apology or sympathy from the staff member. He blamed the computer as prices change all the time and it’s not his fault the prices on the stickers in the store weren’t updated.

Called to see if they have vbelts, according to lady on the phone they had, after driving 1 hour 20 minutes to them I found out they dont sell vbelts at all.Had a different brand of lathe and they just said can't help you" with any question I had. No out of the box thinking

I found what I wanted on gumtree & tracked it back to Carbatec, WA. I rang the shop and found Brett to be very helpful in giving advice on the product, reserving the item, arranging shipping and taking my credit card details. Very pleasant experience and efficient transaction. Shipping advice emailed to me from the courier later on the same day.

An excellent range of products for both the hobbiest through to the professional wood worker. Gary and James are a wealth of knowledge and no questions are left unanswered.

Not so good this time. They would not adhere to the PREVIOUSLY AGREED TO price for an item ordered. The difference was 22% extra. They did offer to reduce the difference to 11%.As a stickler for honesty and INTEGRITY, in principle I could not accept their change of price and chose not to buy the item.They have lost me as a customer.

I am no wood worker, but I sure know good service when I experience it. Don't we all? Steph was great in sharing her knowledge of knife sharpening techniques and products. And then, when disaster struck, the Acting General Manager of the store was very understanding in sorting out my issue. Will I go back? You bet! Thanks team. :-)

Good service and pricing. Awesome range of woodworking tools. Have been around for quite some time.

Can’t fault the service at Carbatec had a warranty claim with a machine that was damaged in shipping.So I rang them sent a photo of the damaged part within a few hours they were sending me a new part.Thanks Carbatec team Perth
